Quality is at the heart of what we do.
All our products are made to strict quality standards. We test every batch of paint as it is made and when it is finished. Depending on the product, the tests we carry out include drying, opacity, colour, fineness of grind, hardness, adhesion, application, flow etc. All these tests are carried out to laboratory standards as defined in BS3900 ‘Methods of Tests for Paints’, and related BS and ISO standards.
We keep full documentation and retain ‘wet’ samples for every batch of paint we make, ensuring full traceability, right back to the raw materials if required, and making for predictable batch-to-batch consistency and reliability.
For colour, we keep a panel of each batch we make, ensuring tolerance to colour standards and previous batches.
As a manufacturer we have full control of the manufacturing process from raw materials and formulation, through manufacture and quality control, to canning and dispatch.
We only use high quality raw materials from proven suppliers.
Our laboratories use the latest equipment for quality control and product development, including viscometers, spectrometers, spectrophotometers, accelerated weathering machines, drying recorders, paint film thickness testers, hardness, impact and scrub testers etc.
Our chemists have a wealth of experience built up from many years spent in the coatings industry, both in the laboratory and at the 'sharp end' in the field.
